When you first visit Peek
Shows you’re promised "Live Nude Chat" and if you can figure out how to navigate the
site you’ll eventually find it. First impressions are always important to visitors and the first impression
we had was how disorganised and confusing the site can be in areas.
Once you get past the age verification portion of the site and confirm you’re of legal age
you will be brought to an overview of webcam hosts available for public, group or private shows. Easy
enough.
Click on a girl you want to see and this is where it gets confusing. If you want to leave
sections of the site you’re not necessarily going to go where you want. Clicking “Next Model” takes you
to another listing of online models. The other disorienting thing about the layout of the site is the
different designs and colour schemes. At one point I thought I had been forwarded to another website.
It will take you some time to get used to the way the site is laid out, so don’t get frustrated if you
run into problems initially.
During our review 46 models were online and available to chat. There was a nice variety
of ladies with approximately a third of them partially nude in the public portion of the site. You do
not need to sign up for an account or give credit card information to view the free chat which gives you
a better chance to review what is available before forking out some money.
Initially you can sort the models based on their names, whether they are using Flash video,
as well as transgender and male models (none were available during our visits to the site). As you get
deeper into the site you have more variables to sort by including models with a free image gallery on
their profile, weight, ethnicity and 12 other items.
Once you find a model you’re interested in and open her chat window you will have to wait
about 20 – 30 seconds for it to load. Once the host’s video appears you will notice the video quality
is decent as is the sound, but the playback is choppy and lacks fluidity. We visited the site on a few
occasions on different computers to make sure it wasn’t simply a bad Internet connection with the same
results. Peek Shows really needs
to work on their feeds to compete with some of the other adult webcam sites out there.
Within the chat window you have a few things that you can do. Obviously chatting with the
model is something everyone is interested in and this is easy to do once you register for your free account
and login. You can enlarge the chat window to full screen but this reduces the quality and increases the
choppiness of the video. You can also get their basic information as well as a direct URL that is easily
book marked should you wish to interact with her again in the future. There are also custom settings if
you want to change fonts and chat colors to your liking.
